Rural Tourism in
Alentejo, Portugal
A quiet retreat in Southwest Portugal
Where landscape, architecture, and stillness meet
New Build. 2026

| About this Project
Set within the rolling landscape of Southwest Portugal, this rural tourism project invites a slower way of living.
Surrounded by olive trees and open skies, it is a place shaped by silence, light, and the natural rhythm of the land.
Designed as a collection of 10 private country houses, the property blends traditional local architecture with contemporary comfort, creating an atmosphere that is both grounded and refined.
| Vision
The project draws from the region’s architectural heritage while embracing a contemporary sensibility.
Natural materials define the experience: lime-based microcement, wood, rattan, and linen create a tactile, understated elegance. Artisanal tiles in terracotta tones reflect the color of the soil, while soft sage greens echo the surrounding vegetation and olive groves.
The result is a balance between tradition and modern living—authentic, restrained, and deeply connected to place.

| Casitas
Ten independent country houses 'casitas' are thoughtfully positioned across the property, each offering privacy, calm, and a close connection to the outdoors.
Every house is conceived as a double-bedroom retreat, featuring a fireplace, a private bathroom, and its own terrace overlooking the surrounding landscape. Interiors are simple and warm, designed for rest, intimacy, and quiet moments throughout the day.

| Details
The bathrooms are defined by a tactile, grounded material palette. Artisanal terracotta tiles evoke the tones of the surrounding soil, while sage green accents reflect the olive trees that frame the landscape. Together, these elements create a calm, sensory space that reinforces the project’s connection to nature.
