I have to admit… I’m not usually a fan of open plan bathrooms.

While they can be undeniably beautiful and aesthetic, they don’t quite align with how I like to live — especially when it comes to noise and light while one person is resting and the other is getting ready.

That said, every home should reflect the people who live in it. We all have different routines, needs, and ways of living — and that’s exactly what makes design so personal.

So here’s to this open plan bathroom: elegant, light-filled, and thoughtfully designed with subtle privacy glass divisions for the toilet and shower areas. A balance between openness and comfort ✨

A transformation rooted in texture, warmth, and timeless materials ✨

This apartment renovation was all about creating harmony between indoors and outdoors. We used @masmayaofficial natural microcement floors and limewash wall paint to achieve a seamless, organic base throughout the space — soft, continuous, and beautifully understated.

Custom oak wooden cabinetry brings warmth and depth, balancing the clean architectural lines with natural character. In the kitchen, a black metallic divider subtly separates the cooking area while maintaining openness and light flow — functional, yet sculptural. @dektonbycosentino countertops. One of my favorite moments in this villa in Torrão happens here.

The private wing opens completely to the landscape, but never feels exposed.

The deep concrete overhang protects from the harsh summer sun.
Vertical timber screens create rhythm and filter light throughout the day.
Glass disappears, and the bedroom becomes part of the terrace.

In Alentejo, light is everything. It can be beautiful — and unforgiving.
So this façade is really about control. Shade, depth, proportion.

The goal wasn’t to make a statement.
It was to create comfort through architecture.

One of my favorite moments in this villa in Torrão happens here.

The private wing opens completely to the landscape, but never feels exposed.

The deep concrete overhang protects from the harsh summer sun.
Vertical timber screens create rhythm and filter light throughout the day.
Glass disappears, and the bedroom becomes part of the terrace.

This is the garage entrance of our villa in Torrão — and even here, it's not treated as a secondary space.

The site slopes quite sharply, so we embedded the volume into the terrain. The stone retaining wall isn’t decorative — it’s structural, grounding the house into the hillside.

Above, the main floor floats lightly.
Timber screens soften the upper façade.
Openings are controlled from this side to ensure privacy.

Even a garage façade deserves proportion, materiality, and intention.

Every elevation matters — especially the ones people think are “just functional.”
